ABOUT US

A professional community led by educators, for educators.

The Educator Collective is a professional community made up of teachers and other education professionals from across Dallas-Fort Worth. TEC memberships are offered free of charge and provide educators with opportunities to grow in our three areas of focus – community, leadership, and well-being. Within this basic framework, we give teachers access to the kinds of resources and relationships that will empower them to build lasting and accomplished careers in education.

Our mission is simple. We work to empower educators by cultivating community, leadership, and professional practice.

We believe that constant improvement is imperative and should be pursued with the utmost humility. Never content with the status quo, we welcome feedback and are open to change.

The TEC model focuses on two types of services:

TEC programming and services include FREE monthly member events, sip & learn workshops, meetup groups, wellness initiatives, and exclusive annual member benefits.

| District Well-Being Program

Born out of the successes realized from our free membership base programming, our innovative District Well-Being program is tailored specifically to districts’ mission, vision and values.

Our Approach

Our programming is built around three targeted initiatives designed to increase educator effectiveness and retention: Community Building, Educator Well-Being, and Leadership and Development. TEC’s approach to this work is evidence-based and unique in the field.

| Community Building

Combating educators’ commonly-felt isolation through a cultivated peer-support network.

Well-Being Initiatives

Equipping educators to manage the high demands of their profession through strategies that improve teacher retention, instructional quality, and student outcomes.

Leadership Development

Promoting educators’ professional growth through strategies and opportunities that equip them to lead without leaving including continued education as a  TEA CPE provider.
